Siena day 2: Chianti
Today mom and I woke up a little late and got ready for the day. We walked around all over the place looking for somewhere that was open to get a cappucinio. We found a place and started talke to the lady that worked there and she was really nice and told us that the party was celebrating the victory of the horse races. After we headed to St. Cathrine's to see her head and on the way there we saw the winning horse, Mississippi. Her hoves were painted gold... After we had a really nice lunch at this place and saw more men in tights spinning flags and playing the drums. Then we headed to meet up with the tour guide group. We took a bus to one small town in Chianti and another in the same region. Both really quaint and adorable. Later we meet up and headed for the wine tasting. The guy in charge gave mom and I the best seats :) We had a blast. We sat with a gay couple that reminded us of Mike and Bruse. We got a bottle of wine and this amazing balsamic vinigar. After we headed back to the room and got settled for the night. We needed some rest after all the walking we have been doing because we are going to Venice tomorrow :D
Isn't the food wonderful, that and the beauty of all the ancient buildings just makes you happy doesn't it? Oh and the beautiful people. Ciao Bella.
